GP Final in Fukuoka - Who will make it there?

The Grand Prix Final is the culmination of the ISU Grand Prix series. Skaters earn points according to placement on the Grand Prix series. The top six skaters or teams from each discipline compete in the Final.

With only one event to go, the Cup of Russia, that will be held from 22–24 November 2013, let's have a look at which skaters have already secured a spot and which ones are in doubt.

But before, it could be useful to remember how skaters competing in the GP series qualify for the Final.

Skaters in the men and ladies competitions get 15 points for the 1st place, 13 points for the 2nd place, 11 points for the 3rd place, 9 points for the 4th place, 7 points for the 5th place, 5 points for the 6th place, 4 points for the 7th place, 3 points for the 8th place. For the pairs and dance competitions, only the first 6 couples get points.

In the event two skaters have the same points, priority is given to the skater who obtained the best placement. This means that a skater that get 24 points with a 1st and a 4th place will have precedence over a skater that get 24 points with a 2nd and 3rd place.

In the event two skaters obtain the same placements, priority is given to the skater who has the higher score, calculated adding the scores of all the programs skated in this series.
